About

Built in Belgium, for Belgian teams

Tikkit is on a mission to make working-time registration effortless and compliant for every Belgian company.

Our story

Why we built Tikkit

Tikkit is built in Belgium, by a team that knows the Belgian business world and its regulators from the inside. We started because the rules around working-time registration were getting stricter while the tools stayed clunky — spreadsheets and generic time clocks simply ignore Belgian law.

This is not software built abroad and localised after the fact. Tikkit was designed from day one for Belgian employers: overtime rules, absence policies, rosters and inspector-ready exports that match what labour inspectors and social secretariats actually expect. Software for Belgians, by Belgians.

Our mission

Working-time registration effortless, compliant and honest for every Belgian business — before the law makes it mandatory.

How we work

Four things we won't compromise on

Belgian law, not a translation

Built from scratch for Belgian employers. Not a generic time tracker with a Belgian flag on it. Our overtime rules, absence types and export formats match what Belgian social secretariats and labour inspectors actually expect.

Honest about what the law requires

Everything we know about the Belgian working-time obligation is published in our compliance guide — sourced, dated and updated as the file moves. We tell you what inspectors check, not what is comfortable to hear.

Your data stays yours

Hosted in the EU, never shared, never sold. Employee hours are sensitive. You can export everything at any time in an open format. No lock-in.

Fair pricing

One plan per company that grows with your team. No per-feature paywalls, no hidden seat minimums, no surprise line items on your invoice.

Belgian DNA

Why a foreign tool won't cut it

Belgian working time law is not a simplified version of EU rules. It is a national framework with specific obligations, named institutions and its own inspection service. A tool built for Germany, the UK or the US has no reason to know any of this.

Social secretariats

Your payroll provider processes NSSO declarations based on the hours Tikkit registers. Our export format matches what Belgian social secretariats expect, so nothing has to be retyped.

Labour inspectors

The Belgian Labour Inspectorate asks for specific evidence of registered hours. Tikkit's inspector export is built for that conversation — not a generic CSV dump.

Sector collective agreements

Belgian sector CLAs set overtime caps, rest periods and shift rules that differ from the statutory defaults. Tikkit is built around the Belgian working-time framework, not a one-size-fits-all global average.

Flexi-jobs, students & extras

Belgian law treats these workers under different rules on maximum hours and registration obligations. Tikkit tracks each type correctly, so a mixed workforce does not mean a manual workaround.

The team

Built by people who know Belgian HR from the inside

Tikkit is built by a Belgian team with hands-on experience in HR operations, payroll processing and Belgian labour law. We have sat on both sides of the table — as employers navigating the rules and as advisers helping companies prepare for inspections.

That context shapes every product decision. When we built the inspector export, we asked what inspectors actually ask for. When we built the absence module, we mapped it to the Belgian legal categories first. We build for the reality of Belgian work, not for a hypothetical average employer.
